Now folks, this tow bar will let you tow your full size pickup truck, SUV car, safely and securely behind your motor home, and it will also allow you to tow your car behind possibly a heavy duty truck, dump truck, those kind of things. It simply slides into the trailer hitch receiver on the RV with the two inch hitch end. There's no ball mount necessary. It just slides in and then the pin and clip go right in. more

Folks, it's got a very nice set of self-supporting arms so they're not gonna fall to the ground as you're hooking up. Keep in mind, I've got it mocked up here on a block of wood because obviously, this hitch piece here is not in the hitch, therefore I can't just hold it up. more

So folks, like I just mentioned, this does come with the included Blue Ox or CURT base plate adapters. So I'm gonna zoom in and show you those real quick while we're starting. So you would simply replace the end of the tow bar with these adapters. And they're gonna match up to the CURT or Blue Ox base plates, so you're gonna get all the hardware, all the nylon spacers, new locking nuts, washers, everything you need to adapt those over, so, again, these guys are going in place of this guy right here. more

Roadmaster Sterling All-Terrain Tow Bar Review- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Sterling All-Terrain Tow Bar. So not only are you gonna get a lot of the components for your flat tow system with this tow bar, you get this channel in here to run everything nice and tidy, it keeps all your cables just a lot cleaner. If you didn't have cable management like we have here on our Sterling, you would have your umbilical running across here as well as your safety cables, and keeping it in the arms of the tow bar is really nice because it's right there when you need it to hook up, and also when you stow your tow bar also, it's gonna keep everything nice and tidy. It's just one less thing that you'll have to wrestle around with every time you hook up your vehicle. Now, a few things that make this a great option for a lot of different people is gonna be the weight capacity. It's rated at 8,000 pounds, so today, we have it hooked up to a Jeep Wrangler, no problem for towing that down the road. more

Hey everybody, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the Blue Ox Ascent tow bar. This gives you that safe connection between your RV and your towing vehicle. It's going to give you even amount of force being put on your tow bar or your base plate, so that you don't have to worry about any kind of damage happening to your frame. Also, since this is a little bit longer than your typical length of arms, it should help you to get more maneuverability between your towed vehicle and your RV. You don't have to worry about your RV coming in contact with that towed vehicle if you're making a really tight turn, just give you a little bit more room to maneuver and get around stuff, especially like gas pumps and things like that just gives you a wider range.The length from the hitch pin hole, the closest one here to the attachment point to your base plate, whenever it's all the way extended out, it's about 51 inches. If you put it at the second hole hitch pin hole here, that adds two inches on to there. more

This tow bar comes in various different kits with the ends that's necessary to attach to all the different base plates that are available out there. We're currently using the kit that has ends for etrailer or Demco base plates, but we also have kits available that we'll attach to Valley or Reese base plates, Blue Ox, or Curt base plates, Roadmaster base plates. There are two different kits for the crossbar style or the direct connect style, as well as Duncan base plates. You'll want to make sure that you get the appropriate kit with the ends that will attach to the base plate you're installing on your vehicle. This is going to be a non-binding tow bar, and it acts as that connection between your RV and your towed vehicle while you're flat towing down the road. So a couple of features that are nice and distinguish this from other tow bars is that it is going to have a drop and a rise to the shank. A lot of other ones are just going to go straight into your hitch, and that can cause some issues because really you want your flat tow set-up to be as level as possible to eliminate any issues with torque while you're going down the road. Keeps everything safe and prevents any kind of undue stress being put on your towed vehicle and also on the hitch on your RV. more

Curt Rambler Steel Tow Bar Review- Video
Rob: Hey everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Rambler steel tow bar. Now, our tow bar is going to be with actually attaching our motor home to our Jeep whenever we want to flat tow it. It's going to slide directly into our receiver tube on our motor home, and hook directly to the base plate so there's no coupler or ball mount that we're going to have to have.Now, one thing I really like about this tow bar is the fact that it has a non-binding design. What that means is, is once we start towing, those arms are going to extend out into a rigid position, which they're supposed to, but when we go to unhook, that's when the problem comes up. Typically the pins right here, we're getting a big bind, and it'd be extremely difficult to pull these out because the arms are bound up. But these levers here will actually take all that tension off, releasing it so it's a lot easier to pull these pins out and unhook.And compared to some other tow bars that don't have that non-binding design, this is just going to make it a lot easier to unhook. more

You'll also need your baseplate, which is the connection point on your vehicle. Roadmaster Falcon 2 Motorhome Mount Tow Bar Review- Video
Hi there flat towers. Today we're going to be taking a look at Roadmaster's Falcon 2 Tow Bar. What's nice about this, if you've ever towed before, but not with a flat tow but maybe like a tow dolly, you notice that it kind of follows behind your motor home like a regular trailer does. You got to take those turns and you got to take them a little bit wider because you've got to compensate for that trailer at the back. When flat towing, and keeping your vehicle self-aligned and since the wheels on your vehicle also turn when you turn, it allows the vehicle to track directly behind their motor home staying in the same path so you don't have to make those corrections that you would if you we're using a towed dolly or some other type of trailer to haul your vehicle.Another thing our customers like about flat towing versus using a tow dolly or a trailer to haul their vehicle, is that there's less to store. It is because it's the lightweight tow bar due to its aluminum design. Most of your tow bars are going to be pretty heavy, getting close to 40 or 50 pounds. Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar Review RM-501- Video
Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar RM-501. Here's what our tow bar's gonna look like once we have it installed and all hooked up. This is gonna serve as the attachment point between our motorhome and our towed vehicle. It's gonna be a coupler style tow bar, which means it's gonna hook directly up to a two inch ball. Just keep in mind, you do need a ball mount and you made need to find an appropriate rise or drop to match up so we can have a nice level towing setup.The arms on our tow bar are gonna have a self-aligning design to them, and what that means is they're gonna extend out and retract so it makes it a lot easier hooking up, even if we're not directly behind the motorhome. Once the arms are fully extended, they're gonna lock into a rigid towing position, and if you look on top here, we're gonna have this button. more
